Hehe, that was a long time ago. I'm more advanced and well versed in PHP that I was last time... (at least as far as globals go).

Globals are generally a security threat if not used properly. I'm thinking of updating this class and adding more features like auto-filling from an already created configuration file in a more secure manner.
