This package can monitor and publish podcasts as WordPress posts.

It implements a plugin for WordPress that can pull RSS feeds from other sites like those that host podcasts like Anchor or Spotify.

The plugin will search for new entries in the RSS feed and creates WordPress posts to publish articles with the details of the latest episodes from the RSS feed, like the episode MP3 file link, episode link, episode cover image, and episode duration.

About

This plugin was designed for Anchor/Spotify for Podcasters and WordPress integration. It will search for unpublished posts on your site, based on episodes from a RSS Feed provided

Installation

  • Download the source code <code>.zip</code> file from the last release
  • Install and activate it through WordPress Dashboard. Go to Menu -> Plugins -> Add New -> Upload Plugin
  • Update Feed and Categories settings in Menu -> Feed RSS Monitor

<code>Feed RSS URL</code>: URL of RSS feed to be monitored <code>Category term</code>: This keyword will be searched on new episodes titles. If there's a match, the post will be registered on this category <code>Default category</code>: All new episodes found will be registered on this category
